Resource Centre

IMAG5721The Marcel Nyeholt Information Resource Centre (MNIRC) offers a range of resources and activities to assist students with their learning, and foster a love of reading and literature.

The MNIRC is home to the Braemar College STEM Hub. This hub allows students to explore the exciting frontier of science, technology, engineering and making all within the MNIRC. We also house a computer room, collaborative work spaces for students and a designated VCE study area.

Resources

There are a variety of print and digital resources across all year levels including fiction, non fiction and reference materials.

We have books, DVD’s, audio books, CD ROM’s, eBooks, cameras, posters, kits, board games, magazines, newspapers. There are printing and photocopying resources.

We also have iPads and chargers available for students to borrow.

Our regularly updated displays  introduce and attract students to new books, and encourage them to widen their reading.

With literacy and a love of reading a priority for MNIRC staff, they are involved in a range of activities throughout the year including Book Week, Archivists Network meetings, review competitions, local writing events and the Premier’s Reading Challenge.

Our library services include reading enrichment, and database and search strategies classes.
