Performing Arts – Music

DSC_1710Braemar College enhances student learning by offering a private instrumental tuition program committed to developing a love of music and excellence in music performance.

Our enthusiastic team of 18 highly regarded specialist educators hail from a wide variety of musical backgrounds and have vast performance and teaching experience. Students can learn from a range of 25 instruments in a supportive and dynamic background.

All students are strongly encouraged to be involved in music ensembles with 12 groups currently being offered. These instrumental and choral ensembles give students the opportunity to experience a range of music styles from Classical to Jazz.

Students are provided opportunities to improve performance skills through practical experience at a variety of venues (both on and off The College campus.)  Additionally, broader learning and extension is provided through participation in master classes, concerts, eisteddfods and subject-related incursion and excursion activities.

We are proud of our achievements and proud to recognise the diversity of needs and talents amongst our students. Quality music education and positive performance outcomes are at the heart of the music department’s opportunities.Screen Shot 2014-10-24 at 11.37.48 am
