Cobaw Winter Sports

On Wednesday, 14 June, a group of students travelled to Romsey Primary School and Romsey Recreational Reserve to compete in the Cobaw Winter Sports Competition.

Braemar was represented by teams in netball, tee-ball and football. There were approximately twelve schools involved throughout the day.

Details and results for each of the teams are below.

Tee-ball

Congratulations to our Braemar Boys/Mixed team who defeated St Ambrose to finish the day in 3rd place.

Netball

Congratulations to our Section A Girls team! The top three teams (Braemar, St Mary’s and Romsey Primary School) actually finished the day in equal place. This meant that it came down to goal percentage and fortunately, having scored 96 goals for the competition, Braemar took out the top spot!

Our Section B Mixed/2nd Girls team finished 5th.

Braemar also supplied umpires for the day; thank you to all those who umpired.

Football

Our Braemar team finished the day with two wins and three losses. We were proud to have three girls on our team who hadn’t played football before or had just started to play this year. Well done to our team who played a good team game but unfortunately were simply overrun by larger teams on the day.

Special mention to some of our Best On Ground players from the day – Jake Grinter, Will Janky, Matt Barake, and Hayden Balcam Kratz.
