On Monday 24 April, College staff, students, families, friends and old collegians were invited to participate in our tree planting project at our new campus. The project was planned in collaboration with Newham and District Landcare (Landcare) with a group of senior school students attending a training session with Landcare so that they could act as facilitators and supervisors during the afternoon.
On the Monday afternoon, all of our volunteers met at the site of our new campus in Woodend ready to get to work on planting 600 new trees. Within a few hours, all of the new trees had been planted and checked off by our Landcare representatives and trained students.
It was a privilege to be able to have so many members of our College community join us at our new campus to see it in its early stages and be involved in it’s future development.
