CareMonkey in 2017
As an organisation, we continually look for ways in which to automate processes. We recently signed a contract with “CareMonkey” to have students’ medical, permission and excursion / incursion forms digitised. This will save parents and staff a considerable amount of time. The following paragraph is an extract from the CareMonkey website and gives a brief overview of the product:
CareMonkey is a health and safety solution that automatically keeps medical and emergency details up to date for any organisation with a duty of care. It makes these important details instantly available to authorised carers on their mobile devices in an emergency…so they know who to call, what to do, or what to tell an ambulance paramedic. CareMonkey automates the permission and consent form process too and can collect any other custom information. It’s used by schools, universities, in sport, in HR, scouts, church and youth groups, the disability sector and camps.
I encourage you to look at the CareMonkey website for more information.
Our staff are currently undertaking professional learning in the use of CareMonkey and we will be in a position to provide more information to families in the near future.
A number of organisations already use CareMonkey. If you do, you will have received an emailed request to update your profile with Braemar College. Please do so.
College Service Scheme
I would like to thank the parents and guardians who contributed significant time and effort to the College Service Scheme in 2016.
For the benefit of families new to the College, the Service Scheme is based on the concept that each family will contribute a specified number of service hours (annually) to defined areas of activity. In 2017, this will be 20 hours. Parents who opt out of the Scheme are required to make a financial contribution to the College, as per the annual Fees and Charges Schedule.
Information regarding the 2017 College Service Scheme will be circulated soon.
Parents who choose to participate will be asked to submit preferences in relation to tasks as well as your availability (times and dates).
The College Service Scheme is administered by Mrs Wendy Swagemakers. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
