Celebration Night 2016 This Wednesday

Celebration Night is this Wednesday 12 October. An exciting program has been put together to showcase the very best that the College and its students have to offer. We will also celebrate the College’s 40th year.

Attendance is compulsory for all students. Students should arrive at the Melbourne Town Hall in Swanston Street at 7:00pm and will be seated in their Learning Community groups. Rolls will be taken by Learning Community Leaders.

Students are expected to wear full school uniform and should be neatly attired. Uniform requirements include blazers; summer dress or shirt and trousers / shirt and shorts; ties with shirts; long socks pulled up; polished shoes. Normal expectations apply regarding hair, jewellery, makeup, etc.

Parents and guests will be seated in the upstairs gallery or at the back of the main hall. Doors will open at 7:00pm. The formalities will begin promptly at 7:30pm and conclude at 9:30pm.

Student leaders, performers and award recipients will be required to arrive early. Students and parents will be advised in writing of these arrangements.

Please note that due to major works being undertaken on the V-Line Bendigo-Melbourne route and on the metropolitan Sunbury-Melbourne route, buses are replacing trains for part or all of these services.

Temporary timetables are in place for most of October. Please plan your journey with this in mind, as passengers are being advised to allow up to an hour’s extra travel time. Check the V-Line and Public Transport Victoria websites for more information:

Road widening construction is also underway on the Tullamarine Freeway and this may increase your travel time. Please check the following website for updates: http://citylinktullawidening.vic.gov.au/

If your son/daughter is unable to attend Celebration Night due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify Mrs Dianne Boustead, Head of Senior School (d.boustead@braemar.vic.edu.au) or Mrs Ros Shipp, Head of Middle School (r.shipp@braemar.vic.edu.au) via email.

We anticipate a wonderful evening and look forward to your company at Celebration Night.
