Kyneton Food Bank was hugely impressed with the number and quality of items donated from a recent collection at Braemar College.

The Food Bank services all of the Macedon Ranges, and has seen an increase in demand for their services since relocating to the rear of the opportunity shop in Kyneton, next to the IGA supermarket.
The opportunity shop sales help fund the Food Bank together with Federal Government contributions from the “work for the dole” program.
Four churches also work together to help fund this necessary service. It is important people donate clothing and items to the opportunity shop in order to keep the Food Bank running.
Volunteers and people enrolled in the “work for the dole” program run the Food Bank Monday to Friday. Generally, these volunteers are past users of the resource, and recognise the importance of the system for those in need.
The Food Bank is always desperate for female sanitary products, bottled pasta sauces and sauce based products to stir through meals.
