Daniel Lowe’s Racing Success

Although he hasn’t been involved in the sport for long, Daniel Lowe in Year 12 has already enjoyed success racing his boat on the Murray with his older brother, Jack.

image5Their biggest achievement to date was winning the Dash for Cash and coming third in the Dinghy Derby at their first ever event.

The longest race they have competed in was 90 kilometres long.

image4Daniel says what he enjoys most about racing is that the actual experience is very different to many people’s perceptions of it.

It takes a great deal of skill and teamwork and involves navigating creek beds that are only just wide enough to fit the boat through.
