Free Jazz Concert at Braemar College This Saturday

Enjoy a free Live Jazz Picnic Concert at Braemar College this Saturday 13 Feb featuring Braemar College Instrumental Music Tutors and musicians, Georgia and Tom Martin, and guest musicians from Sydney, Briana Cowlishaw and Gavin Ahearn.
The atmosphere will be very casual and family centric.  Families are invited to bring a picnic blanket and sit on the croquet lawn and enjoy the music and nibbles.
Chef has kindly offered to run a sausage sizzle and we’ll have cold drinks and snacks available for sale.  It is a strictly non-alcoholic event.  The concert / sizzle will run from 5:30 to 7:30pm
Our Director of Music, Shaun Evans is involved the not-for-profit community group, the Macedon Ranges Music Collective, which is running this event.
The group is made up of a number of local musicians that would like to foster more music and music related events in the Macedon Ranges.  Full details of the concert and a link to reserve a spot (limited to 100) is online.
During the day there will be a vocal workshop for any keen young or old singers who want a look at what the Pros do on a gig.  Bri will run a workshop on the ‘singer/songwriter’, Georgia will focus on stagecraft and Shaun will do a session on recording yourself and buying the right microphone.
The workshop is running from 12pm to 3:30pm and details and bookings are available here.
