The Braemar College Winter Concert will commence at 7:30pm on Thursday 20 August in Heyward Hall.
We’re proud to be serving up a non-stop night of energetic performances which will provide a snapshot of what our College ensembles have been up to so far this year.
Please bring along the entire family – grandparents, aunties, uncles….. and friends – to enjoy our talented and capable young musicians as they perform in a variety of ensembles of groups.
The concert will include performances from:
- The (Tuesday Night) Band
- The Percussion Ensemble
- The String Ensemble
- The new BIG Band
- Braemar’s Musical Theatre Club
- The Senior Choir
- The Junior Choir
- The BEATS Band
- The STRUM Ensemble
- The Many Hands (Keyboard) Ensemble
- The Early Music Ensemble
- and The VCE Ensemble
Those involved in the music program will know that we’re undergoing a big transformation and we’re very excited about this, the first exhibition of some of the College’s new groups.
For those considering getting involved in either the College ensembles or Instrumental Music (private) lessons through the College, this is a fantastic opportunity to come and be inspired by your fellow students.
Pre-Concert Buffet Dinner:
Hospitality staff and students will have a delicious buffet dinner on offer in Jackson Hall consisting of a selection of four main course dishes (both cold and hot) as well as sides, salads, bread and cold drinks(water, punch and cordial) for $30 per person, and $15 for performers and children aged 10 years and younger. Coffee / Tea will be available to purchase. Vegetarian options will also be available.
Please notify Liz Klusik via email if you have specific dietary requirements:firstname.lastname@example.org
Bookings for the Buffet Dinner are essential to assist with planning. To make a dinner reservation please book here.
Rehearsals for the evening’s performance will be run throughout the school day so performers can travel home on the regular bus and join the family for a Buffet meal before the evening’s concert.
The Concert in Heyward Hall:
Performers are asked to be in Heyward Hall by 7pm to prepare their instruments, warm up and get ready for the performance. Doors to Heyward Hall will open at 7pm and the program will begin at 7:30pm. We’re conscious that everyone has a busy schedule so we are aiming to keep the night short, powerful and trim and have everyone out no later than 9pm. Performing students are required to be in Full Winter Uniform. The ensemble leaders will instruct performers if blazers are optional for their particular performance.
If you have any questions about the evening or your child’s performance or would like to send your apologies for the evening, please contact Shaun Evans, Director of Music at email@example.com. Shaun’s new direct line is 03 5427 9319.
We look forward to sharing a great night of musical entertainment with the Braemar community!
