Our Year 9 students had a hectic but productive City Week recently, travelling to Melbourne for a range of Curriculum based activities.
They conquered VLine train travel and visited city icons including Federation Square, the Ian Potter Gallery, The Royal Arcade, the Australian Centre of Moving Images, The State Library, Hosier Lane and Melbourne Central.
They rode on the City Circle Tram, hopping on at Federation Square and travelling to Parliament House. They also spent time in China Town.
The undertook a complex Cultural Emersion Experience where they had two days to develop, explain, interpret, apply, shift perspective, empathise and assess a selected field or area of interest and focus during City Week
Students worked in small groups to complete this task and worked together to decide how they might present their information.
It was a big week, but everyone gained a lot from the experience.
