Power Chords Snapshot – Georgia Caggiati-Shortell Year 11

Power Chords, the 2015 Braemar College Musical has been written by students, and many of our students have taken on leadership roles in the production.

The story is about a band on a journey to discover their sound, become great and win battle of the bands. They are competing against an ‘evil’ rival band who are about to sabotage their efforts.

We interviewed a number of students involved in the production. Today, Georgia Caggiati-Shortell in Year 11 takes time out to chat with us.

Caggiati-Shortell, GeorgiaWhat have you enjoyed most about being in the College Musical?

Singing and acting and playing a sassy character.

What is your favourite song/dance in the Musical and why?

Would I Lie to You is my favourite song. It’s super sassy and it suits the characters.

I also really like the 80s flashback songs – Never Gonna Give You Up and Living On a Prayer.

You have to see it.

What has been the biggest challenge for you?

It’s an awesome massive cast but it’s also challenging for us all to be on the same page and get the dances down. But it’s really great to work with everyone.

Why should people come and see Power Chords?

Everyone has been working really hard and it’s got some really great musical numbers and terrible puns that are bound to make every Dad joker laugh.
