UNIVERSITY OPEN DAYS – AND WHY YOU SHOULD GO TO THEM

Many universities have Open Days in the coming weeks and months, and it’s important to attend them for a number of reasons.

  1. You  find out what the university is like, whether it has a good vibe, whether you could picture yourself there.
  2. You find out how to get to the university and what sort of travel options there are.
  3. You see what the lecturer theatres and prac rooms are like so if this is the university of your choice, you can find your way around from Day 1.
  4. You find out where the university is so you can work out whether it’s practical to travel there every day or whether you’re going to need to live in student accommodation or rent accommodation nearby.
  5. You find out who can help you with things like finance, finding work or accommodation, even future pathways.
  6. You find out where a degree might lead you – what sort of research opportunities the university offers – what career paths will this degree open up for you.
  7. You find out about the curriculum content of potential degrees so you can compare them with what other universities offer.
