Parent Assistance Required for Year 8 and 9 Exeat Week Programs

We are seeking expressions of interest from parents who would be interested in assisting with the Year 8 or Year 9 Exeat Week Programs to be conducted Monday 26 – Friday 30 October 2015.

Year 8 will be based in the Grampians, and the program will involve some strenuous walks, rock climbing and abseiling as well as other camp activities. A sound fitness level is required for this program. Accommodation is in cabins with one night sleeping out under canvas.

We also require a female to attend as an aide for a student with a physical disability. Their program will be modified and there will be no strenuous activities. A background in teaching/health care would be an advantage.

Year 9 will be based either at the Glenelg River or Mitchell River. The programs are run by the Outdoor Education Group, and entail extended hiking with backpacks and rafting/canoeing (depending on the river).

Please email your expressions of interest to Ms Mandy Hennessy, Exeat Week Co-ordinator, m.hennessy@braemar.vic.edu.au.
