Scholarships for Rural/Regional Students in Year 12

Each year, The Macpherson Smith Rural Foundation (MSRF) offers scholarships to Year 12 students from regional/rural Victoria to enable them to participate in tertiary study after they complete their VCE studies.

Screen Shot 2015-06-04 at 3.56.34 pmThe scholarships provide financial support of $45,000 over three years, and participation and mentoring in the MSRF leadership development programs.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities is a key selection criteria. Also essential are the desire to return to rural Victoria after graduation, and previous community contribution.

Each application must be endorsed by Braemar College Principal, Mr Russell Deer.

Applications close: 11:59PM on 18 July, 2015

Application assessment period: July & August, 2015

  • Each application will be individually assessed. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the MSRF selection panel on a Saturday in late August or early September 2015 (exact date to be determined).
  • All applicants will be advised of the outcome of their applications by the end of September 2015.

Scholarships awarded: February 2016
