This week, Braemar College Year 9 students have been working on Sustainability themed Independent Research Projects.
Over three days they have created an amazing array of items using recycled materials. They have based their projects on various aspects of sustainability including environmental and social.
They have tapped into their creativity, using all kinds of media and materials to explore the themes.
Willem made this bin out of junk collected from the Macedon State Forest. The bulk of it was made from a discarded plane trolley
Liam made his outdoor lantern using old fence posts, and recycled glass offcuts from Macedon Ranges Glass.
Gigha’s mosaic artwork was created using tiles from a junkyard.
Amy has used recycled plastic bags.
Freyja made this dress from recycled newspaper.
Liam’s speaker was made from recycled floorboards and decking timber, and speakers from the garage.
Emils coffee table made from recycled timber is in the shape of a video game controller.
Some students chose songwriting and music to express their views on sustainability.
