Year 6 Canberra Trip

Our Year 6 students had a great time on their recent trip to Canberra.


Sixty-six students, six staff and two parents took the long bus trip to our Nation’s Capital where they enjoyed many highlights including a meeting with the Governor General at his residence.

IMG_8439The camp fits into the Term 2 Encounter curriculum, and students learnt a great deal about the Australian Parliament and its history,  the High Court and the Electoral Commission.

IMG_8556They also visited the Australian Institute of Sport, The Australian Warm Memorial and Questacon.

IMG_8559While in Canberra, students went bowling, and enjoyed an afternoon of activities on Lake Burleigh Griffin. IMG_8585IMG_8628
