Our Year 6 students had a great time on their recent trip to Canberra.
Sixty-six students, six staff and two parents took the long bus trip to our Nation’s Capital where they enjoyed many highlights including a meeting with the Governor General at his residence.
The camp fits into the Term 2 Encounter curriculum, and students learnt a great deal about the Australian Parliament and its history, the High Court and the Electoral Commission.
They also visited the Australian Institute of Sport, The Australian Warm Memorial and Questacon.
While in Canberra, students went bowling, and enjoyed an afternoon of activities on Lake Burleigh Griffin.
