Violinist Jess Selected For Quartet to Play at Resonance Festival

Congratulations to talented Year 8 musician Jess Irwin who currently plays with Melbourne Youth Music, and has been selected to perform as part of a specially selected quartet at the Bayside City Council’s Resonance Festival concert.

Irwin, JessicaThe string quartet consists of hand-picked musicians who key artistic personnel have nominated from the 70 member Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra .

The Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra String Quartet will perform on 28 June at 2.15pm at Bayside Arts & Cultural Centre (Brighton Town Hall), Cnr. Wilson & Carpentar Streets Brighton.

This one off concert will showcase a mix of Grainger’s work and other classical compositions.

The performance will coincide with the exhibition, Percy Grainger: In the Company of Strangers. Part of the Midwinter Masters series, the exhibition will run 20 June to 9 August 2015 at The Gallery @ Bayside Arts & Cultural Centre.
