Middle School Students Knit for African Babies

After visiting an agricultural fare in Bendigo, Year 7 student, Danni Rock was inspired by ‘knit a square’, a program that assists African AIDS babies to keep warm in the winter months.

photoA number of boys and girls from Middle School have risen to the challenge, knitting sixty squares and four teddy bears.

The students plan to ship the squares to Africa this week.

Parent assistance with freight would be welcome

If you have contacts with freight companies and can assist with shipping the items, the students would greatly appreciate your help.

If you can assist, please email Leanne Little at l.little@braemar.vic.edu.au
