The Braemar College Head Start programs aim to provide our students with an introduction to their course material for the following year.
Students will be provided with face-to-face time with their subject teachers for 2015, or with teachers from the same Learning Area. These teachers are aware that 2015 resources may not yet have been purchased by students, and this is taken into consideration.
The Head Start program challenges students to consider the year ahead and provides the initial work that needs to be completed. This is very important as time in the Senior School program is often tight. Days of total fire ban often impact the commencement of the school year and the Head Start program safeguards against time that may be lost through TFBs.
The timing of the Unit 3&4 Head Start program has been carefully planned to ensure students are also able to participate in the variety of extra-curricular activities occurring at this time of year, such as the Great Vic Bike Ride and the National Basketball Championships in Canberra.
