Celebration Night will take place this Wednesday Night at the Melbourne Town Hall.
This is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the achievements of our students.
Attendance is compulsory, and students should arrive at the Melbourne Town Hall at 7:00pm and will be seated in their Learning Community groups. Rolls will be taken by Learning Community Leaders.
Students are expected to wear full school uniform and should be neatly attired. Uniform requirements are as follows:
- Boys – winter uniform, tie, blazer, etc. If wearing shorts, long grey socks must be worn.
- Girls – summer dress, blazer, etc.
- Year 5 & 6 – PE uniform – white socks and clean runners.
- Makeup and nail polish are not permitted.
Parents and guests will be seated in the upstairs gallery or at the back of the main hall. Doors will open at 7:00pm. The formalities will begin promptly at 7:30pm and conclude at 9:30pm.
Student leaders, performers and award recipients will be required to arrive early. Students and parents will be advised in writing of these arrangements.
The last Bendigo-bound V-Line train departs Southern Cross Station at 22:22 and will stop at the following stations: Sunbury, Clarkefield, Riddells Creek, Gisborne, Macedon, Woodend, Kyneton, Malmsbury, Castlemaine. We will ensure that the Celebration Night program does not run overtime to accommodate families who wish to catch this train. A V-Line timetable for the Bendigo line is available via this link: http://www.vline.com.au/pdf/timetables/bendigo.pdf
Alternatively, to avoid having to rush, you can park at Sunbury Railway Station and catch a metropolitan train. These are more frequent and run much later in the evening. Note that the metropolitan trains do not depart from Southern Cross Station. A timetable is available via the following link: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/timetables/linemain/14
On Thursday, 16 October, lessons will commence at 10:40am with Period 2. That morning, the bus pick-up times will be two hours later than usual.
If your son/daughter is unable to attend Celebration Night due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify Mrs Dianne Boustead, Head of Senior School or Mrs Ros Shipp, Head of Middle School, via email.
