Braemar College’s Award Winning Performer

imagesCongratulations to Braemar College’s, Matt Testro, whose television series, Nowhere Boys is receiving international acclaim.

Nowhere Boys is an Australian teen-oriented television drama series, first broadcast on ABC3 on 7 November 2013. It follows the adventures of four mismatched teenage boys who return from a school trip to discover they have come back to an alternate world where they no longer exist.

Matt plays the character of alpha jock, Jake, and he underwent a gruelling audition process to claim the role.

Unknown-1Nowhere Boys has just been awarded the International Youth Jury Prize at Prix Jeunesse Internatonal, the world’s oldest and most prestigious children’s television competition.

This year it attracted a record number of entries from over 60 countries. The Youth Jury Prize is voted on by teenagers from around the world.

Nowhere Boys has also received a Logie Award for ‘Most Outstanding Children’s Program’ and the AACTA Award for ‘Best Children’s Television Series.”
