Early next month, Braemar College will compete to take out the Victorian Equestrian Interschools Series for the fourth year in a row.
The Saddleworld VEIS Grand Final will take place at Werribee Park, with more than 380 riders aged 10 to 18 from all over the state competing in Show Jumping on Saturday 2 August and Dressage on Sunday 3 August.
The Grand Final is the culmination of the VEIS annual competition with more than 3,000 riders from 150 schools in three regions, Barwon (West), Northern Shield (City and North) and South East (Gippsland and the Mornington Peninsula) competing across the season.
The Grand Final will feature the top four performing school teams from each region as well as the top 10 individual riders (not already representing a school). This ensures all top riders are represented, regardless of the size of their school.
Equestrian Victoria has recognised the significance of this series by awarding the two top placegetters in the overall VEIS competition with places on the Victorian team for the coveted Interschool Nationals event this year.
The Saddleworld VEIS Grand Final promises to be a day of exciting competition and Werribee Park offers great viewing and facilities.
Members of the Braemar College community, even those without students participating, are welcome to come and enjoy the action and support the College Equestrian Team.
We wish the Team all the best in their endeavours.
