Year 8 Students Take Top Three Places at State Competition

Year 8 Braemar College students have taken out the first three places in the State Finals of the VILTA Indonesian Oral Competition held recently at Melbourne University.

Congratulations to Wilem Floreani who came first, Theo McCoy who was placed second and Freyja Barter who achieved third place.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe students had spent many weeks practicing for the competition, and were assisted with their preparation by a teacher from Indonesia who was at the College for two weeks on the government funded Australia-Indonesia Bridge program.

Wilem, Theo and Freyja will be presented with their awards at a ceremony at the University of Melbourne on 20 June.

Congratulations to all three students on a fantastic reward for all their hard work.

These students have certainly set the bar high in Indonesian studies at Braemar College.
